My First Post

In eighth grade I had this wonderful Reading, English, and Social Studies teacher named Tracy Smith. I remember whenever we would get completely stuck on a writing assignment she would tell us to "overcome the power of the white". Basically this meant ending the intimidation of the blank sheet of paper by writing something, anything, on it. This could even be something as simple as putting a big X across the paper.

So, here it is. This is me overcoming the power of the white (or pink in this case) -- my first post on a blog that no one yet knows exists.

I wonder how long it will be before I post something real...
